The Governing Board Chairman, Administrative Staff College of Nigeria, Hon. Chief Nduka Anyanwu has stressed his commitment to moving the college to greater heights. He said this during his welcoming ceremony at the ASCON headquarters, Topo Badagary, Lagos State.

Hon Anyanwu while speaking to the staff packed auditorium reiterated his commitment and that of the 9th Governing Board to reenergizing the vision of ASCON.

Speaking, he said: “As a board, part of our duty is to review the challenges faced by this noble establishment with a view of creating sustainable solutions to them. This 9th governing board of ASCON is going to think out of the box to meet the needs of the establishment. I am happy that I have eminently qualified board members who are going to take on this task with me to achieve the ASCON of our dreams”.

Anyanwu equally used the opportunity to thank President Muhammadu Buhari for finding him worthy of leading the change in ASCON. He appreciated the Director General of the organization, Mrs Cecilia Gayya and her team for their efforts in putting the college on the path of growth.

Continuing, Anyanwu said “the essence of a governing board is not to lord over the institution, rather as a board our duty is simply to take a broader look at the needs and processes of this establishment and do a proper needs assessment of the college, which will help us to find ways of working together to develop solutions to our challenges”, he said.

Recall that Hon Chief Nduka Anyanwu was appointed the governing board Chairman late last year by President Muhammadu Buhari, he was inaugurated on the 8th of March, 2018 by the Head of Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita.
