Awka, Anambra state was agog Wednesday as party faithfuls of the All Progressives Congress (APC) gathered for the grand finale which witnessed an unprecedented crowd.

The distinguished Senator of the Federal Republic, Senator Andy Uba took to the podium to show support for the party’s candidate and flag bearer, Dr Tony Nwoye.

Uba in his speech acknowledged Tony Nwoye as a useful youth. He called him his son and pledged his support for the party’s candidate.

Uba, while lauding the President for his presence at the rally, assured the President of APC’s victory at the poll.

Recall that Uba and Nwoye were once allies before they politically fell apart. The emergence of Nwoye as the party’s candidate in the August 26 primaries ahead of the Senator caused a rift between the two Aspirants with Uba approaching the primary election appeal panel to seek reddress.

However, the appearance of Uba at the grand finale of Dr Nwoye may have suggested a close of rift between the two former political allies.
