The State Secretary of the All Grand Alliance Party, AGAP, Mr Dan Chibo Umeh has said that the party is driven by ideology. He said this while entertaining questions on Saturday in Ogene 98.3fm’s political discussion programme, Encounter.
Mr Umeh lamented that many political parties have resorted to ‘money bag’ politics which have brought about impedance in the growth and development of Nigeria’s political system.
Umeh challenged other political parties to be exemplary in the discharge of their political duties while literating AGAP’s commitment to politics of ideology.
While speaking, he said: “AGAP is set up in a manner that decisions are made by stakeholders who are committed to good governance. Decisions are neither made by influential members nor money bags whose only intention is to use the party platform to seek power without recourse to the ideals of the party”.
Recall that AGAP was among the 37 political parties that contested the November 18, 2017 Anambra governorship election in which the party came 7th, a performance many consider to be a remarkable feat for such a newly registered political party.
