Obiano Distributes Over N2Bn Loan Facilities As Anambra GDP Increases To N1Tn

Governor Willie Obiano has distributed over two Billion Naira to over Seven thousand eight hundred Ndi Anambra as soft loans, as well as increased the Gross Domestic Product, GDP, of the state by one trillion naira in three and half years.

Managing Director/ Chief Executive Officer of Anambra Small Business Agency, ASBA, Chief Clement Chukwuka stated this in an ABS radio program ‘scorecard”, where Government Functionaries gave account of what the Governor has done in their various establishments.

According to Chief Chukwuka, out of the two billion naira loans, one billion is for Small and Medium Enterprises, while the other one million is a micro credit to small businesses, and explained that the Governor understands the importance of small businesses as key to driving the economy and Gross Domestic Product, GDP, thus the interventions.

The ASBA boss who highlighted some of the achievements of the agency to include financing of one thousand unit of shops at Shoe Industrial Clusters at Ogbunike, stressed that the conditions for accessing the five hundred thousand micro credit is a guarantor of not less than level fourteen in the state civil service, or the Igwe or President General of stown, or any high networth business man.

Callers to the Programme including Madam Volvo and Ifeanyi commended the efforts of the Governor through ASBA, Anthony from Umunya, Ezenwa and Micheal from Onitsha, Izuchukwu from Orumba whose questions ranges from how to access loans, the interest rate, how real are the loans, among others were addressed accordingly by the ASBA boss.
