Nduka Anyanwu promises to renergize the vision of ASCON, as he assumes office as the 9th Board Chairman of the college

The Head of Service of the Federation, Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita today, thursday, Inaugurated Chief Nduka Anyanwu as the 9th Board Chairman of the Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON).

Chief Nduka who hails from Ossa Ibeku autonomous community in Umuahia North Local Government of Abia State was inaugurated along side other members of the board.

The Head of Service of the federation, Mrs Winifred Ekanem Oyo-Ita while inaugurating the board, highlighted the roles of ASCON as an institute for human capacity building for public and private sector workforce.

“ASCON is one of the foremost management development institute whose role is critical in the development of the nation’s workforce, the task facing the board is that of developing a strategy that will expand and grow the vision of the institute”, she said.

Reacting after his inauguration, the Chairman of the board Chief Nduka Anyanwu thanked President Muhammadu Buhari for the priviledge given to him to serve as Chairman of the ASCON Board, he recognized the efforts of the staff and management of ASCON and promised to reposition ASCON to be more efficient.

He further stated: “the board under my chairmanship, shall focus on renergizing the college to be more critical in recognizing the need for grooming effective leaders at all levels of organizations”

Continuing, he said: “the ASCON Board shall commit to positioning the college to provide a pool of knowledgeable and skilled individuals with the needed attitudinal balance required to take the nation to enviable heights.

On her part, the Director General of the college, Mrs Cecilia Umaru thanked the Head of Service of the Federation, Chairman and members of the ASCON Board for the part they played in the success of the inauguration. She promised to join hands with the Board to put ASCON in an enviable position, a position that will see it continue to live up to its mandate as an institute for human capacity building.
