The Administrative Staff College of Nigeria (ASCON), today, signed a memorandum of understanding with the African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) in Morocco
The African Training and Research Centre in Administration for Development (CAFRAD) is a Pan African intergovernmental organization, established in 1964 by African governments, with the support of UNESCO; making it the first uniquely Pan-African training and research center in the continent for the improvement of public administration and governance systems.
According to the Chairman Governing Board of ASCON, Hon. Nduka Anyanwu, the pact between ASCON and CAFRAD is geared towards enhancing the capacity building strength of Nigeria’s foremost Management Development Institute, ASCON.
Reacting to the development, the Director General of ASCON, Mrs Cecilia Gyya who is in Morocco with the Chairman of the Board, expressed her excitement to the development. While speaking she said: “ASCON is reviewing its strategies and teaching techniques to be more in tune with modern teaching techniques, by signing this agreement, ASCON is better positioned to meet its purpose of establishment”, she said.
