Anambra central deserves a Senator who can affect lives beyond his immediate family - Senator Ekwunife

Anambra central senatorial district on Sunday 4th March, 2018 witnessed a gathering of dignitaries, stakeholders and well wishers of Senator Uche Ekwunife as she hosted friends and supporters to a banquet.

Senator Ekwunife while speaking to the enthusiastic crowd used the opportunity to appreciate supporters and friends for their continued support and believe in her.

“I am deeply humbled by the opportunities my people have given me to serve them”, she said. She went further to say that Anambra central deserves more than their current lot in the Senate.

She also stated that the appeal court judgement that denied the people of Anambra central the best deal so far at the Senate remains an act of judicial rascality which will continue to attract condemnation from both bar and bench.

She further said that Victor Umeh is seating on a stolen mandate where he used government resources to pervert justice. If justice AD Yahaya, Justice Awotolo and justice Sanga with years of their experience and knowledge of law felt that was the right judgment, may God give them what they have given to me. It is ridiculous that we will still be experiencing such a bizarre miscarriage of justice in Nigerian courts and judges go free. Whatever they must have been paid will not mitigate the punishment they will receive in their lives for that judgement where they nullified my election based on intra-party matter. Victor Umeh himself knows he lost woefully and will lose again.

She urged the people of Anambra central to take the task of returning a Senator of APC extraction seriously, to put Anambra central ahead in the bid to attract the needed dividends of democracy to the zone.

While speaking, she also stated that ahead of 2019 elections, it doesn’t matter if she is on the ballot or not, “what matters is that Anambra central gains a competitive advantage by returning a Senator from a ruling party, a Senator that is capable of affecting lives beyond his/her immediate family” she said.
