The leadership of the All Grand Alliance Party, AGAP has called for increased voter participation ahead of 2019 polls.
Speaking to newsmen in Awka, the State Secretary of the party in Anambra State, Mr Dan Umeh noted that AGAP is one of the fastest growing political parties in Nigeria having shown political vibrancy since its registration.
Mr Umeh stated that the party is one that is committed to Industrialization, Agriculture and Human Capital development as the three are the major ingredients for building a sustainable and self sufficient society.
Umeh decried the low collection of PVC’s as suggested by the statistics released by the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC.
He urged the electorates to utilize the voter card registration windows provided by INEC as that is the only way they can effect their say in Nigerian’s political stage.
Recall that the Anambra State Resident Electoral Commissioner, REC, Dr. Nkwachukwu Orji few months ago highlighted that no fewer than 220,000 Permanent Voters’ Cards, PVCs, were yet to be collected by the owners in Anambra State.
AGAP contested in the November 17, 2018 Anambra Governorship Election along side 36 other political parties and came 7th. This according to Umeh, is a feat the party is working to build on in the coming elections.
